How we review AI tools
Choosing an AI tool usually means reading a dozen pages that all say the same thing. We try to give you less to read and more you can rely on.
What we check
For each tool we look at the official website, pricing page and documentation. We note what the tool is for, who it suits, what it costs and whether there's a free plan. Each fact shows the date we last checked it, because AI tools change their plans often.
What "tested" means here
We only say we've tested a tool when someone on our team has used it on a real task. Profiles that are based on official information alone say so. Right now we've checked the prices of every tool listed against its official pricing page, but we haven't tested any of them hands-on yet. Each profile carries a notice saying so.
How we order tools
Until a category has been properly reviewed, we list its tools alphabetically. When we rank tools, we'll explain the reasons for the order on that page.
Affiliate links
Some tools pay us a commission when you sign up through our links. That never decides whether a tool is listed, where it appears, or what we say about it. Tools without an affiliate program are listed the same way. Read the full disclosure.
